The SETI (Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence) bulletin board was created in February 1995 on the Cleveland Free-Net computer system. The board can be accessed over the Internet, and it has goals that include:
The bulletin board relies on volunteer user support to contribute SETI-related electronic information. It provides an area for unmoderated open discussion, and a moderated "SETI Philosopher's Corner" where members may submit essays, reviews, articles, poetry, and creative writing. Anyone can submit information to the SETI board by e-mailing to: xx029@cleveland.freenet.edu.
The Cleveland Free-Net is an open-access community computer system located in Cleveland, Ohio. The system is quite active with over 55,000 registered users and roughly 1000 new users signing up every month. Anyone can log in to visit the system, but only registered users may post messages on the system. There is no cost to becoming a registered user -- it's free!
Getting to the SETI bulletin board is as easy as 1, 2, 3...
Once you're in the system, just follow the menus to where you want to go.
Hope you'll drop in for a visit!
